If the individual resistors are functions it is possible to swap within
and with like comps same package same value. The back-annotation is
automatic if you are using the Allegro interface vs third party

Tim,
You have the problem correct.
We use Viewdraw, which needs a separate "slot/function" for each
resistor.
I assume that Orcad is the same way.
This is a limitation of the system, schematic into Allegro.
