[PCB_FORUM] Re: Pick and Place output from Allegro...

Austin,

Some suppliers may request information that is different from the
standard PLACED COMPONENT. In that case they will provide you with a
command file that lists the info and the order
of in which they need to extracted from Allegro.

You can then start an Allegro executable in the command line called
extracta. It needs the .brd, the command file (what to extract) and the
name of the output files specified as arguments.

An easier method is the supplier will provide you with a program like
Fab master which basically does the same thing mentioned above with a
GUI

Austin, have you found something yet?

I searched my Allegro installation for these views but did not find
them.

What I have used since working with Allegro is the PLACED COMPONENT
Report.

I haven't been asked to provide something else yet. Give it a try.

Hi Tripp,

Thanks. No option for any format...only origin. I guess I output this,
and

give it to the assembly house and they massage it into the format their

machine needs...

Regards,

Austin
