Switch to Unix? Just kidding.
Have you tried using the padstack editor from allegro
to see if it has the problem?
I am on 15.1 (as you probably already know) and it
seems to be ok. Maybe they messed up Pad Designer.

Anyone have a clue as to how I can tell the "Pad_Designer" editor to allow

Thanks for the help!

Mitch, Shirley,
I think I have defined the problem, now I just need a solution!
It appears that I have an eight character limit in naming padstacks, but just since moving to 15.2. We have quite a few previously created padstacks that exceed eight characters in name length.
Anyone have a clue as to how I can tell the "Pad_Designer" editor to allow more than eight characters?
Thanks for the help!
