[PCB_FORUM] PTC 3D export... question regarding what data is actually used...

I am exporting IDF using the PTC 2.0 settings. I have one component
that was built "wrong" originally, so I modified it in the working .brd
file, I changed place_bound_top to a smaller area (modified the shape)
and yet the data I get when I export it shows the same old large part
instead of the updated fixed smaller part.
Yes, I have saved, and in fact exited and came back in. So is there
some buffer holding the original part deep in the .brd file, and that is
what is output to PTC, or what?
I assumed that place_bound_top of each part is what is used to generate
the 3D images... if so, then why can't I change the shape for a single
part and see the modification when I export the new 3D data? I can
move the part and see a change, but the physical shape of the part
remains the original placed size.
