[PCB_FORUM] Re: POP

This is a OMAP part. The processor part is loaded on the board and the
the SDRAM part is loaded on the processor. I have the processor in the
library as a regular part and would like to enter the SDRAM part in the
library so it would show up on the bom's and we would like to show it
loaded on the processor on the assembly, but no wires to route on the
board. We would like to somehow associate the reference from the top
part to the bottom part. Can a mechanical part have a reference
designator and show it being loaded on the assembly diagram?
I hope this explains things a bit better. I am treading new waters and
don't know how to swim.

Good Morning,

Is anyone using POP ic's? How are your handling it? Are you entering the
POP SDRAM as a mechanical part?
