I've done several pci cards. It is critical, in my opinion,
that you get the pci specs. You need those in order to put
all of the stuff in the right place. I made a connector that
had all of the edge connector pins in it. Both sides in one
so I didn't have to worry about lining them up on the board.
It worked out fine. You need the specs for the outline and
the mounting holes, too. We added 2 pci mezzanine cards to
ours also. They weren't in the spec but we needed the info
to make sure that we could get the mezzanines on without
violating any rules. It was a tight fit. But, again, get the
specs, you must have them.
I will try to find the connector I used and post it if you
would like. It isn't anything special, though.
Good luck,

Good morning all
I have been given a heads up that my next design will be a PCI card.
Having never work with the PCI specification I was hoping I could get
some assistance in the way of a good website. If it's not too much to
ask maybe a .dra file of PCI board outline to get me started.
I have been to a few websites including PCI-sig and their membership fee
just isn’t compatible with the small business people like myself.
It's also my first experience with edge-finger connectors. Any
suggestions on this type of footprint would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
