Yeah, I'm still using 274d. No one has insisted that I send files in
274x yet.

 

I typically import the gerbers into an Allegro database for checking.

Hi Martin,

 

Call me old school, but we are still using 274D until something else is
better in Allegro.  The board houses don't have a problem with that.

Given the 'composite' nature of Allegro's gerbers when created in RS274x
format....

What gerber viewer are you using? And, how painful is it to import the
negative plane layers?
