I did find out that I could actually move the component browser back into the
first monitor. I was trying to stretch it and that wasn't working at all.

I have exactly the same type of problem with Concept. My computer was set up to
show the component selection on a second monitor. Because of hardware issues I
am back to using 1 monitor and now the Component selection is off in the lower
right corner and I can't even drag it back to where I can read it. Really
frustrating for all of us.

Actually, we fixed it yesterday and the "why" is totally amusing.
Bad GUI design. The default window arrangement had the folder content window
with the parts list shrunken all the way down to the bottom of the frame. If
you didn't know it was there, you just thought the bottom margin of the overall
CIS window was a couple of extra pixels wider than the top. But when you moved
the mouse over that, you could see the cursor change the the "adjust window
size" graphic. Pull up on the invisible window and it opens up and you can see
the parts in the CIS folder that was selected in the folder window.
Ridiculous.that window should never totally close.at least show the header line
with the component property names (and hopefully at least a couple of lines of
data but if it showed the property names, you'd have a clue that you needed to
drag the <expletive deleted> window open to see what was in it).
.sigh.

The capture.ini files look the same?

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] ORCad/CIS .dbc/.mdb Linkage?
We're running ORCad/CIS (16.0, ISR3) as our front end to Allegro.
I'm having a problem getting component selection through CIS working right. We
have double-checked both the ODBC setup and CIS setup on my computer versus
another engineer's computer (where it is working correctly) and can't find any
differences.
If I try to select a component via CIS, the CIS database folder structure shows
up in the CIS window and looks correct, but when I click on any component
family
folder, it appears empty.
It looks like there is a link missing somewhere between the CIS configuration
(.dbc) file and the actual database (.mdb) file.
Anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this problem?
