What about the other direction? Allegro-to-Mentor?

Jim, there is a Mentor translator included in SpecctraQuest .... The Mentor to 
SQ translator (File->Import->Mentor) creates a .BRD file than can be directly 
read into Allegro. Of course you will need SpecctraQuest ...
