Hi Dharma
There is an issue that will remain if you use the setting to support long
padstack name, namely IPC-356 netlists which only
support a few characters.
Best Regards

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Long files names in allegro
Hi Everyone,
We have run into a problem with long file names in 15.5. We have a customer who
uses very long files names for their padstacks.
Previously we were able to add these with no problem ( may have been using an
expert license at the
time) but now we get a "file name too long" error. Is there a switch in
preferences, Or elsewhere, that I am missing that will
allow us to use long file names?
Thanks in advance and I wish you all a Happy New Year!, Dharma
