Ali,
Add a password to a board and then open it in a text
editor. Search for that password and make a note of where in the file
it is stored. Open your database that is locked in a text editor and
look there to find the password that you forgot. I haven't tried it in
a while but it used to work. Hope that helps...

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] How to unlock Allegro PCB file (Date base is locked
for writing)
Hi Group,
Any body knows how to unlock Allegro PCB file 15.5.1. I have forgot the
password which we give in File-->Properties to unlock the file and now
data base has been locked for writing. Lot of smart people here, can
any one please help me out. Is there any way to break the password?
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Ali.

Good Day,
I thought I saw this topic a while ago but it was not relevant at that

Is it possible to break the password on an "ALLEGRO Locked Database"?
One of my customers is considering Locked Database, but is uncertain
of it's effectiveness.
Thank You,
