[PCB_FORUM] Re: Library question

Ron,

We have a field in CIS which identifies component status:

"P" represents active component (production)
"N" represents inactive (not for new design)
"I" represents inactive (inactive)

Our CIS is tied into SAP via Access, hence the use of SAP status codes.
Within CIS we allow placement of only "P" status components on new schematics. 
The other components are visible within CIS for reference.
