[PCB_FORUM] Re: Is there any way to replace more than one via, but not all of them?

Hi Gary,

Not if you sent it today. If you sent it to me some time ago, I can check
my inbox and a few other eMail folders for it...

Thanks!

Austin

  Austin,

Did you get the "derived_padstack.doc" word doc that I sent you? It's a
little involved, but will get you where you want to go.

  Hi,

I want to replace more than one and less than all vias. In tools/replace,
if I use padstack replace, I can select a via, and there is a checkbox for
single instance, or if not checked, it replaces them all. When in single
instance mode, I can't do multiple selections (not surprising, after all, it
is called "single instance"). Is there a way to use the selection box to
select a group of vias, or some other way of selecting multiple vias and
changing them to a different via padstack?

  15.7.

..and I've gotten bitten by not checking single instance mode, and it
changes all the instances of that via...and there is no undo! So, I have
learned to save often when replacing vias...

  Regards,

  Austin
