[PCB_FORUM] Re: Is there a way to step and repeat placement for identical circuits on the same PCB?

Hi Austin,
I've written a skill utility which does exactly that, you pick a reference
part (ie BGA) and then select the components in the group you want
replicated. I basically build a reference table which i use to map the
placement information.

When you pick the secondary component (has to be the same as reference part
to use mapping information) you then select the secondary group of
components and that group is placed around the secondary part using the
mapping info.

Let me know if you want any further info.

Cheers, Ben.
