Whoa! That is wild!. Thanks a lot. That fixed the problem. I'll bet that
was interesting for the first designer to finger out.
Thanx again Diane.

Infinite cursor is invisible
Cadence Customer Support Solution
Error message:
None
Problem statement:
Changing the cursor type to infinite and there is no cursor visible in
the work area.
Solution:
Allegro uses the first color in the color palette (set to white in the
default
allegro.col) for the color of the Infinite cursor. If this color is set
to the same
color as the background color (set to black in the default) then the
infinite cursor
will not be visible in the allegro work area. To fix the problem change
the first
color in the palette to a color other than the background color or in
the color form
go to Palette and "Read Global", this will reload the default colors.
Remember to
save the board file after updating the palette. The second part of the
problem is
that if you open a second board file without completely exiting from
allegro. Then
the first color in the palette remains active as the infinite cursor
color until
after you open and close the next board or after you completely exit and
re-enter
allegro. So if you open a board with the first colors set to black and
then open an
other board, without exiting allegro, the infinite cursor will be
invisible (even if
the color palette is correct) until you open the next board or exit and
re-start
Allegro.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Invisible infinite cursor
I'm finding a curious and very irritating phenomenon. I prefer to use
the infinite cursor when working within the Allegro editor.
Well I started a contract with a new company and found that when I used
the infinite cursor on their system it would not appear within the
Allegro editing window. I know it is there because I can select object,
but just can't see it. I can see the cross cursor though. Well, I took
the database home to work on my computer and now all of a sudden I
cannot use the infinite cursor on any of my boards!! Anybody ever see
this before?
Thanx in advance.
