[PCB_FORUM] Re: Illegal element in SHAPE_SYMBOL

Try this:

1) Go into the dra file for the ssm and do dbcheck.
Will probably need original files for this as it
probably won't dump out on a library export from brd
file.
2) Open shape in ssm and do a shape check for 4 mils
or less and fix anything it finds until it finds
nothing on shape check.
3) the last thing to do on dra file for ssm before
saving, is a dbcheck.
4) save
5) If your remote site does this work for you, then
run dbdoctor from commmand shell (in Windoze,
pick 'start' and type in 'cmd'), on your file. If you
aren't pathed correctly you will need to go to the
Cadence install directory where dbdoctor_ui.exe
resides, then type in (in the cmd window): dbdoctor
fullpath/filename<> and it will update your files to
the newest version you are looking for.

If dbdoctor finds corruption (still), then export
subdrawing out and make a new ssm (dra)file.

Just my 2 cents. :-)
