Hello cds_quest@xxxxxxxxxxxx What kind of text are you trying to add to the REF DES? Normally a reference designator is assigned during packaging. If the ref des needs to change for any reason, just doing an Edit>Text or used the text change button at the top to change either the assembly or silkscreen reference designator. The other one should change automatically. The fact that you have deleted the silkscreen ref des, means that to get back to square one as others have suggested is to mark down the locations of the two parts in question. Then do another place >manually for those two parts and put them back. If select the silkscreen or display subclass, the text is just a note and can not add again. The problem is that I deleted two component's refdes by mistake, but I would not like to update all the component with that package symbol. I can not find the way to update only the particular component.
