Hi Eileen,
you can have a skill to load the "replace_update_via.il" automatically, or you
can just load it manually
loading replace_update_via.il manually:
1. in your command prompt type this
skill load "~skill path/skill name"
***you can also copy the skill to the working folder the same with your board
file and type this in your command prompt
skill load "replace_update_via.il"
2. you can now invoke this particular skill file by typing in your command
prompt
replace_via
3. select via to change then enter your new via name
regards,
ahrys

Oops,
Please scratch the line: "It needs to go into a Skill file folder with it's path
defined in your env file."
The skill file location is in the ilinit file. Sorry.

I am just jumping in here;
This is a skill file isn't it? We use it here a LOT.
It needs to go into a Skill file folder with it's path
defined in your env file.
Then you need to initialize the skill file. Skill files
have a .il extension. You initialize each skill file you
would like to use by defining them in your local
allegro.ilinit file. This ilinit file must also reside in
your local pcbenv. I am inserting the ilinit file we
use here. It's pretty much self explanatory. Respond
if you have any questions about what I've written.
ONCE all this is done, the skill routines will show up
when you enter "helpcmd" in your tito window. You
can also alias them like any other command.

Hi Eileen,
Attached is a script that I downloaded from Cadence which allows you to replace
vias by a window select.

Hi all,
I will like to select a group of vias in the BGA and change them to another type
of via size. Can someone advise how to do this.
Thanks.
Best regards,
