Hi Eileen,

This looks like a (mounting) pin on a connector?
If so, you should create pin 2 as a pin and use a shape symbol for the pad.

To do this create a dra with your shape drawn on etch/top and use the compiled symbol as your shape symbol when creating the pin.

A measure on the board will then give you the correct result.

By the way - in the future you might try posting on the Cadence PCB design forum. You might get a quicker response as there is now a large number of users and Cadence support staff lurking there.
