We sometimes use the display subclasses for other purposes.
You have been able to create a new subclass under the class refdes
for a while now. And as long as you are changing within the same class
there is no problem.

Couldn't you use Display_top ? I would think that most people only have
use silkscreen and assembly layers for outputting data. Can you get away
with only having a display_top ref des? Never tried it, if it works
that's
an option.

It is exactly what i do.
Subclass named UNUSED_TOP and UNUSED_BOTTOM.
