Dennis, First Article Inspection should be done to the boards fabrication drawing. The fabrication drawing should listed all of the requirements such as commercial, military, space, Telcordia or internal specifications required. In addition to these specifications any specific requirements should be spelled out on the drawing and these specific individual requirements will take precedence. The answer then is to add to the board fabrication drawing all of the specifications you feel need to be meet. I know it should be done but I don't know what to tell them to inspect. The other PWB guy here wants to tell them to inspect to IPC A-600F but that doesn't tell them what I think they need to know. Is there any information out there that can help me document what they need to look for? Thanks for any advice!
