Hi there,
I don't think it's totally random, even though it might seem like it. I
think what happens is that the copy, move, show element, hilight, add
connect, etc commands retain their own find filter settings, so if you
go from one command to another eg move to show element, the find filter
does change, but only back to what the new command was set to last time
you used it, in this case what show element was previously set to.
(confused now?)
But I do understand your frustation, at times there seems to be a lot
of clicking in this menu.
Potentially, in the absence of a Cadence function, the best bet might
be a script that sets all find filter settings for all the commands to
the current setting.
Regards,
Steve

Hi All,
Is there any way to change/lock-down a particular setting (ie. Nets,
Symbols) in the Find Filter so that when you go in there for whatever
reason it will always come up to what you set it at?
For instance, I'm working solely with nets (ie highlight or Show
element) but when I go into the Find Filter now, it resets to
something
else each time.
There's gotta be something, I just haven't found it yet...
Thanks,
Andy
