    I'd like to thank Dave for his idea. I left it below for anyone to
    read incase you need to do this yourself sometime. I did exactly
    as he suggested and all is now well. I ended up deleting the
    footprint and recreating it from scratch.



    Admittedly it took some time but it had to be done.
