Make you're drawing extents HUGE and refresh all of your symbols. You will probably be able to see it then. This has helped me. -----Original Message----- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of alan fisch Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 10:27 AM To: pcb forum Subject: [PCB_FORUM] FIGURE OUT OF EXTENTS??? Hello guru's In this new design I'm working on I have come across a previously unseen error. "FIGURE OUT OF EXTENTS". Specifically what it means I'm not sure. Thats why I'm writing. I used to be able to place one part near another or even overlap them temporarily. Now, I can't just drop the component anywhere it has to be free of other place-bound shapes. One person has suggexted to expand the drawing size, which I did but to no avail. I am using several large thru-hole components on this job but that shouldn't make a difference. This board also has a very odd shape and all components are rotated to to an odd angle. If you saw it you'd understand...;-) The board has the shape of a small axe... mixed smt/tht, 6 laters, no BGA's, not high speed. I have also taken former artwork for this design and made dxf's out of them. Then I imported the dxf and made one .dra (format type) of each layer converted to an dummy layer in Drawing Format. This doesn't seem to make adifference because I deletd them thinking they were the cause of the error and the error persists. I'm using Allegro Studio 15.2 Any ideas????? help!
