[PCB_FORUM] Re: Extracta in 15.2

MessageHappy Thanksgiving to you too Andrew (now try not to eat too much
tomorrow!).

Are you running it for the first time since going from 14.x to 15.x?

If so, you need to delete the last three lines from the "parts.txt" file:

   COMP_RATED_CURRENT
   COMP_RATED_POWER
   COMP_RATED_VOLTAGE

Here is what my complete "parts.txt" file looks like now (I'm on 15.1):

COMPONENT

REFDES
COMP_CLASS
COMP_PART_NUMBER
COMP_HEIGHT
COMP_INSERTION_CODE
SYM_TYPE
SYM_NAME
SYM_MIRROR
SYM_ROTATE
SYM_X
SYM_Y
COMP_VALUE
COMP_TOL
COMP_VOLTAGE

I notice yours also has one extra line, "COMP_DEVICE_LABEL". I wonder why?

Anyhow, at least delete those last three lines and give it whirl!

Good luck!

  Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Extracta in 15.2

  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
In the spirit of the season, I'd be really thankful to find out if someone
knew what Cadence did to the data structure that caused my fabmaster
PARTS.txt to stop outputting. All the rest of the 9 files work correctly.

  The format I have is:
  COMPONENT

  REFDES
  COMP_CLASS
  COMP_PART_NUMBER
  COMP_HEIGHT
  COMP_DEVICE_LABEL
  COMP_INSERTION_CODE
  SYM_TYPE
  SYM_NAME
  SYM_MIRROR
  SYM_ROTATE
  SYM_X
  SYM_Y
  COMP_VALUE
  COMP_TOL
  COMP_VOLTAGE
  COMP_RATED_CURRENT
  COMP_RATED_POWER
  COMP_RATED_VOLTAGE

Running this as the extracta control file results in null output, I think
with error, but no feedback regarding that. Any ideas??

  Thanks!!!
