[PCB_FORUM] Re: DxDesigner to Allegro...

For those of you interested, here are the questions I asked Mentor, and the
answers they gave me:

Q: Is there a datasheet available for the DxDesigner to Allegro interface?

A: No, we do not have a datasheet for this option.


Could you please get these questions answered about this interface as well:

1) Does it support crossprobing

A: No.

2) Does it support decal preview

A: No.

3) Can you use the DxDesigner Attributes Manager for entering/modifying
constraints

A: Yes.

4) What attributes does it pass to Allegro

A:  We don't have a list of the constraints/attributes.  However, we have
many customers using DxDesigner very successfully with Allegro.

Keep in mind, they charge $2500 for this, and it appears it does little more
than produce a netlist.  Something that can be done by converting the PADS
output...
