[PCB_FORUM] Re: Drill Legend probs

Dennis and all who replied,

Thanks to all, I finally found it! This drill legend is so long, that I
finally saw two entries for 2.4 non-plated holes.

These two different padstacks had the same 2.4 drill, same Circle/y for
Figure/Character, but different Width and Height numbers.

Now that error went away, but the Drill Legend table has pretty much
zero width (it looks like a vertical line when zoomed out)!

I am pointing to the "default-mm.dlt" drill template file, so I can't
imagine what that could be.

The design I am currently working on creates the table just fine.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Gary

Hi Gary,

Did you try to delete the symbol or via and run it - does the error
messasge go away?

Maybe a corrupt symbol -

Did you do a DB doctor?

Jean,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it looks like the consensus is that 2.4 is
the drill size. I ran NC Drill and 2.4 is a drill size used in *one*
place only!
From the cryptic error message it would appear that there are more than
one 2.4 drill padstacks, each with a different Figure, but there's only
one.

Thanks for the help,

Gary

I'm thinking 2.4 is the drill size, and that you have some 2.4 drills
with one figure and some with another...???

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Drill Legend probs

Hey guys,

I'm trying to help a fellow designer in our company (remotely). I have a
copy of his database, it's setup as Metric.

15.5.1, XP Pro.

When running Manufacture -> NC -> Drill Legend, it fails with the
following message:

>>> Begin processing drill holes.
>>> Warning : Hole 2.4000-0.0000-C-N-0.0000-0.0000 uses multiple drill
figures.
>>> End processing drill holes.

To me it looked like "2.4000-0.0000" were coordinates, but there is no
hole there.
I've not seen this one, but I have had two different padstacks with the
same drill figure, which runs fine.

Any ideas as to how to find the offending hole?

Thanks,

Gary
