Well if you are going to use this module going forward in another design with
multiple instantiations of it you will need to have either a concept or Orcad
schematic driving it. Here is a paper I co-Authored with Gopi Rudra at the 2003
ICU for an Orcad flow reference. I believe there are papers and other docs on
it for concept on sourcelink.

Came from the original design I am doing a copy from.
I just did a module window around the area making an mmd file and read it in. I
do have properties. Not all.
I think I will read the document this weekend. Looks like some good info there.

Where did the netlist come from? The tool doesn't support design reuse for
third party netlist. Beside the properties on the nets the tool also needs to
use the properties REUSE_ID, REUSE_INSTANCE, REUSE_MODULE, and REUSE_NAME.

If you read the tech file into the module before you read the logic in and
placed the parts the assignment table will not be set properly as it can't make
assignments with areas and net_spacing and net_physical_types with out them
present in the database. Trying reading the tech file in after netlist and
placement is done. This may clean it all up.

I am creating a module from an existing design. I have done the following:
1, Read in the tec file from the existing board and imported it to the Module.
2, Read in the new tel file to the module.
3, Took existing (board I want to copy from) and exported the placement.
4, Read the placement into the module, that placed only the components I needed
for the module.
5, Clipped all the traces, vias and fills from existing board from specific
area.
6, Imported clip files to the module.
Now I notice all the traces are missing properties. I am necking down inside
fine pitch BGA's and I have a ton of trace width errors. Does anyone know how
to import the net properties to my existing module?
I tried reading in the netlist with properties but not sure this is the best
way?
