Hi Jane,
This is a known issue at Cadence, I think they see it as an Adobe bug..
Here was a "workaround posted on this board by : Gene Norris
***********************************************
There have been other suggestions including reducing the dpi and scaling
the image. However, I have not had any work. The following is the only
thing that works here. It works consistently and without fail.
-Get the Adobe printer driver and the PPD files for an appropriate
_postscript_ printer (note: most printers will do, but affect paper size
and margins). Both driver and PPD files are available on Adobe's web site.
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1500
http://www.adobe.com/products/printerdrivers/winppd.html
(the ppd for a lexmark w812 fits our needs as it has 11x17 paper and
slim margins)
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:351:0:0&emeaframe=&fileID=910
-Then install the driver, DO NOT use the default generic postscript
printer (ppd) NOR the distiller driver ppd NOR any "ADOBE" printer ppd.
INSTEAD use the ppd files downloaded above (like for Lexmark or HP).
Select "file" as port for printer.
-Now, use this printer from Concept and print to c:\concept_ckt.ps (or
something).
-Distiller (or ps2pdf) can change this file to pdf with no problems.
Further, the print preview will accurately show your schematic.
