[PCB_FORUM] Re: Chasing DRCs... Vias to shape.

Gene,

I had this problem where a void was being added to create a split in the
plane to direct return paths under a Bga.
I don't recall the fix or if there was one but the Valor and Gerber data
was fine.

Yes it was very annoying chasing the drc around the void area from via
to via.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Chasing DRCs... Vias to shape.

Using 15.2, not ready to move to 15.5. Working on a design that has
fill (shapes) on every layer (mixed signal analog).

Very frustrated that Allegro is not clearing away fill from all the
vias, but is smart enough to make DRCs where the problem exists (D'oh!).
But the odd thing is that when I do a local remove of the fill to
correct the DRC, it jumps to another via. I HAVE to CHASE the DRCs...
What a frustrating "game."

I have checked the database... often.

Anyone else see anything like this?

I am using dynamic shapes in RS-274 mode. Running in Win2K.
