Hi,,

Though I am not good at all in SKILL coding, I use the script macro to
interface with the VB program I wrote,, making VB form is easy, but I
have not try SKILL with in depth effort, so cannot comment very much. 
I also try out PERL before with Free Viewer, to extract information from
using "show element", most of it are 1 way,, using sendkeys method to
get the allegro program to execute it form me.

PERL will write macro for allegro--- sendkeys to tell the allgero to
execute and save the data-- data crunching-- result.

VB also done is very much the same way.

Yes you can with the IPC-Skill functions in Allegro SKILL. Search the
archives on this forum. I know we had a few discussions on this topic in
the past.
In general, you would launch a skill program from within Allegro that
then launches your VB script. The VB script and the Skill-engine then
can communicate
using stdin, stdout and stderr channels.
