[PCB_FORUM] Re: Cadence to Pro-E

It should not take that long. To speed things up
you should filter out the vias from Allegro.
I do designs with 2-3K parts and that only take 10-15
minutes.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Cadence to Pro-E

Hi experts,,

I am pretty new to Pro-E, A simple and quick question, importing into
Pro-E using emn/emp file out from Cadence, does it normally take long ?

Say for a normal motherboard file ~1k components ? My clock is 1 hour+
and counting, just want to make sure worth waiting and not because the
program has crashed and hang there...

Thank you
CL
