Hi Chris,

Yes, I believe you are right, The difference between Studio and Performance
is quite large, so that must have been what s/he meant.  IMO I've felt
Performance was a relative bargain, but only because IMO Studio was quite
overpriced (you don't get much).  They should have lowered the price of
Studio, not raised the price of Performance ;-)

Though they may not believe it, they compete with PADS at the Performance
level.  A high end seat of PADS does quite a bit of what most people buy
Performance for...and at half the price, so making that gap wider may not be
all that wise (economically for Cadence that is) in the long run.  But, if
you need some of the features of Performance, no seat of PADS can compete.
