[PCB_FORUM] Re: Cadence Design Studio 15.2

The rule used to be that,
the minor (dot) revisions were upward and downward compatible, but not
the major releases.
Times have changed !!

For those not on studio, we ran into a problem with Constraint Manager a while
back and Cadence told us it was because we had gone back and forth between 15.1
and 15.2 and we shouldn?t ever do that. The ?fixed? the board file for us
(don?t know, don?t ask!) and told us never to do it again. You can, however,
safely clip data from one to the other.

Yes. I just did a design in Allegro 15.1, customer altered in 15.2, gave it
back to me, no problem. The Orcad sch part of the package revs back and forth
to a much wider range.

Hi All:

Is Design Studio 15.1 and 15.2 upward and downward compatible ?

Thanks,
