Could be.
I have problems just when doing a z-copy of a shape and then change the net. 
Sometimes it lives a shapes with the original net behind the wanted shape. I 
must move the wanted shape liek move iy 500 outside the board outline to be 
able to select and delete the unwanted net.
I use 15.2s80 on windows

        Presently have a paneled board with over 4000 shapes on it, I have
cleaned up over
        350 shapes without nets. I presently have 20 out of date shapes. I
can trigger a 
        "Shape Without Nets Report" to find layer and location of shapes, is
there any report
        that I can run to find the remaining 20 out of date shapes? 

        I did an experiment and ran the update to fix? The out of date
shapes, it scrolls through
        the 20 shapes and fixes none. Is it possible that when I ran this on
the board that
        had 450 out of date shapes that it generated duplicate shapes with
no netname?

        All this by loading one small board on a 28 board panel utilizing
design reuse. Shapes
        on the .mdd were clean.....
