[PCB_FORUM] Auto Place on Grid

Dear friends,

I'm working with Allegro 14.2 and I want to automatically place a lot of
components on a grid; in particular I want component with the lowest RefDes
on high-Left corner and component with max RefDes on low-right corner.

I followed the manual: I create a placement grid with the command "Define
Grid" from the menu "Place>Autoplace>Top Grids", then I set the parameters
in the "Automatic Placement" dialog box ("Place>Autoplace>Parameters...").

I set these parameters:

Algorithm: Array
Origin: Symbol Origin
Direction; 50, 50, 50, 50 (the manual said that array mode don't care about
these parameters)
Rotation: 100, 0, 0, 0
Straight: 50
Mirror: 0
I selected "Leftovers" only
Max pass: 1

Allegro placed the component with the max RefDes on the low-left corner and
the component with min RefDes on high-right corner.

My question is if there is a way to place my components with user-defined
left-right, up-low directions.
