Override the library JEDEC_TYPE by adding a JEDEC_TYPE property that specifies
the preferred Allegro symbol, directly to the symbol instance in Concept.
You may benefit from having the specified JEDEC_TYPE also in the ALT_SYMBOLS
list.

The JEDEC_TYPE - ALT_SYMBOLS mechanism allows for some optional ways to handle
this.
Have a look in the Allegro Platform Properties Reference where it is explained.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Alt symbol

Is there a way in Concept to specify which alt symbol to place in Allegro
automatically?
My problem is that in certain cases we want to place a special footprint for
capacitors used in high frequency applications and still keep the same part
number.
Alt symbol seems to be the answer but we don't want the layout designer to have
to decide which symbol to place.
