[PCB_FORUM] Re: Allegro V15 help with copper shape

Oleg:

I haven't used RS274C format gerbers for at least 6 years, but I seem to
remember the only way of getting rid of these was to have the "Suppress
shapes less than" parameter to greater than 100 MIL, surprising fill on
tiny areas.

What is the smallest line aperture on your wheel? I think 274C will
draw the shapes using the smallest aperture first, so maybe if you used
a 3 mil as your smallest line it would help. Assuming they can get a 3
mil aperture for their photoplotter :)

You REALLY need to get a new vendor :D

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Allegro V15 help with copper shape

Hello Allegro V15 Gurus,

We got pcb file from customer in order to make panelization.
I'm trying to create gerbers (on format Gerber6X60-this is only
requirement of our
fab. vendor) and on top side (l01) during creating gerber I got zillions

error "Can't fill shape at (x.xxx, y.yyy).
If I start to eliminate those small area I will loose the integrity of
grounding
shielding on pcb.
So my question is:
Why Allegro lets create shape in small areas, during shape checking
it (Allegro) finds 0 problem and finally during creating gerbers it can
NOT
fill out those spats?
How do you handle this situation? Is the way to create
gerber (on Gerber6x60 format) and not to change copper shape?
