Also, make sure you are routing on layers that the vias cover. If you are
attempting to use a via that only goes from layer 1 to 2, but you are
routing from layer 7 to 8, the via won't show up.

Gerry,

I wound up doing what you recommended by removing planes. One down, now all
I have to do is figure out why when I add vias to the current via list they
do not appear in the drop down when routing.

Ron,

In version 15.2 when you use the copy command you can check the "retain net
of vias" located in the options tab.
This will keep the vias you are copying associated to the net they are on.

If you are clipping in a bunch of vias and do not want them to connect to
ground planes?
Temporarily change your ground planes in the cross section to negative -
clip in - then change them back.
If you have planes on signal layers with routing - move the planes
temporarily off the board.
move ix 10000 then move it back ix -10000.

No "add ons" required,
Gerry

All,

I recently downloaded the current ISR and now some unsavory things have
happened:

1. If I have a standalone via, it is assigned a ground net charateristic. I
like to group vias when working with power distribution but it doesn't do me
any good when all the standalone vias are ground.

2. Very elementary, but I can't add vias to my via list. I can physically
add them to the chart but they don't show up in the design drop down.

What happened?
