[PCB_FORUM] Re: Adding Teardrops increases Etch Length

If you do a "show element" on clines that have the fillet property, it
will show that it considered to have no (0) length. Therefore it is not
considered in the total length. Do a "show element" on a net to get the
total etch length, "Edit Property" on a cline of that net and add the
"fillet" property. Doing a "show element" on that net again should show
a decrease of the cline length that you added the property on.

 

At least that has been my experience. I am on v15.2 but this has been
around for awhile.

Hi All,

 

After done with length matching, i have added teardrops(fillet) to those
& found increase in etch length & violates the existing length matching.
Will the teardrops etch will be added to the trace length? Anyways to
avoid this increase in length without deleting fillets?
