Thanks Charlie. We don't have CheckPlus and I don't see the value for it 
at this point. But on the other hand I have not
spent much time with exploring it either. Anyway, the syntax for marker 
files seems easy if you look at them after you created
some errors. They usually reside in temp/xxnedtmp

You can load the marker UI in concept by typing the following 2 commands 
in the console (I found this after 3 hours digging around)

_!markers Load <path to marker file>
_!markers Show

Although I am by no means an expert in checkplus, I think you can write a 
rule to check for this condition.  There are string operator functions in 
checkplus.  That way you can just use the native Cadence tools for 
navigation.

Happy friday everyone, 

Anyone know where I could find a document that describes the syntax of 
ConceptHDL Marker files? 
I am trying to write a skill program that checks bus signal names for 
<MSB..LSB> and reports an error when it finds <LSB..MSB>. I want to 
include hierarchical block pin names 
as well and would like the marker window to popup with a custom written 
marker file.....
