Ok, I see, from the user point of view I just though the picture with and
without caption should not be so different and wanted to make sure, that
there is no easy way to get around that problem. 
What I do is that I open a new paragraph with two coloumns and put text in
one and the picture in the other coloumn. This works ok but is not so
convenient since the text needs to have a certain length because I do not
want two coloumn text to appear somewhere in the document.
