I think you are mixing up two things here. Mike asked for ODT export, 
which is the OpenOffice format. It is based on XML, but it is entirely 
different from OOXML, which is MSWord's new XML based format. So, the 
XML for any equations that are saved as part of an ODT file would be 
entirely different from those saved by Word.

Whether Word can import equations from an ODT file is a different 
matter.
