That explains something that happened to me lately!  

I wrote an article for our Parish Magazine, and included a URL.  The editor
prefers input in Word format (not sure why, since he uses a DTP package to
produce the magazine).  When the magazine appeared, there was a blank after
'for details see:' where the URL should have been.  I checked that the URL
was in the file attached to the e-mail, or so I thought, because of course
I opened the file with EW.
