Richard, there are 3 separate volume controls on Icon/BP.... 1. General volume (volume key up/down); 2. Media volume (0-volume key up/down); 3. Speech (TTS) volume (starkey-volume up/down) It is likely that either the media volume is set to high, or that the speech volume is set too low on your unit.
