Hey, Guido, I think I remember that the Orion-18 will not have a number pad, that would seriously hamper use, especially if a phone is ever implemented, will there be a way to attach an accessory keypad when desired? Thanks. Beth

Original message:
Stacey, Orion 18 will be approximately six and a half inches wide. It will
be a little more than four inches deep from front to back, and its thickness,
including keys will be barely greater than one inch.

Orion 18 Braille keys are quite a bit larger than those on BP, and they feel
very comfortable to my long fingers.

G.

Hi, how big will the Orion be? How much will it weigh?
Will it have full sized Braille keys?

Have a blessed day,
May God be with you,

Yes, Orion will have integrated USB connectors.

Okay, I'm assuming that the Orion, like the Icon will have usb
connectivity.
I have used my Icon to copy NLS books on to an NLS cartridge many times
with
complete success.
I do have one of the extension cables required to do that.
Actualy they're available just about anywhere that sells usb cables.
You want what's known as an extension cable.
Very often these are sold for the purpose of extending things like a usb
printer cable or a scanner cable.
they have a slightly larger end that will recieve the flat usb connector
that
fits in to a usb slot normaly.
You just plug the cable in to the external usb port on the cable that
attaches to the Icon, plug the other end of that cable in to your
cartridge,
and the Icon will say Usb disk one found, and there ya are!
I know for sure this is possible with an Icon, and if the Orion is going
to
have external usb connections like the Icon there's no reason at all this
won't work.
Hope that helps.

If you do try connecting a cartridge to the Orion, please let me know
how you do it and how it goes. Thanks. Beth
