I always renew maintenance agreements on my equipment ? software and hardware! 
I'd really ,be upset if I failed to do so and had a major problem. Besides, I 
have another device that folks didn't think there would be upgrades and that 
were were so for myself I prefer to keep equipment up to date! I just save my 
money and do without other things! Again, that's just me!
