Hi,
I buy and download mp3s from Amazon.com. If you buy individual songs, they
work like any download and you don't need to use Amazon's special software.
If you want an entire album you need to use their software, but I just buy
individual songs. I'm told the software is accessible with JAWS, but I
haven't gotten it to work myself. The song purchasing process on Amazon is
very accessible though cluttered. I download the songs onto my comp and
then transfer to the Braille+.
Also, I turn songs from my CDs into mp3s by using a program on my computer
called CDEX. It's very accessible and incredibly easy to use. I found it
by going to download.com and searching for CDEX.
I'd love to hear about where others get their music.
HTH,
Erin

Subject: [icon-discuss] music downloads
Hello;
I gather that lots of folks are using their machines to store and listen to
music. Other than i-tunes, what sites have proven to be both easy to use
and
affordable? Does one generally have to download the music with your pc
and
then transfer it to the braille plus? Have folks been able to download it
directly with the braille plus thus bypassing the poor old pc?
Richard
