Hi there, Tony, and anyone else interested in these file sharing systems that are gaining popularity out there these days. The file sharing system in question, Dropbox, requires the use of a program that you install on your PC to upload files to your Dropbox account. Although there appears to be a Linux version of this software, I'm not so sure it would work on the Icon/BP as it is currently. There would probably have to be a version developed especially for the Icon/BP to insure that it works right, and that you get enough speech or braille feedback to use it effectively. It also appears that you might be able to upload files from the Dropbox website, but I don't seem to be able to figure out how you would access that feature using the Icon/Braille Plus. Now, if you already have a Dropbox account set up for your PC, you can access whatever files are in your Dropbox account with your Icon/BP by going to the Dropbox website, www.dropbox.com, and logging into your account. Once you login to your account, just press "Enter" or "Okay" on the "Files" link. The Icon/Braille Plus acts a bit quirky on this website, so you may have to wait awhile for the next page to load, but eventually, you should be able to see your list of files and folders, and since each one has a link, you will be able to download those files onto your Icon/Braille Plus. Similarly, if someone you know has an account, and wants to share a file with you, they can just email the link to you from their "Public" folder. As for the other popular file sharing service, "Sendspace" you can also download files from it as well, but there doesn't currently seem to be a way to upload files directly from the Icon/Braille Plus to your Sendspace account. Well, that's all I know about this subject for now. Hope it was somewhat helpful. Basically, although you may not be able to upload files directly from your Icon/Braille Plus, you can download files from these services to your heart's content. Of course, all of this is subject to change, since we are dealing with evolving technology on both the Icon/Braille Plus and Dropbox ends. Hope this helps. Have a great day!
