[icon-discuss] Re: adesso mini keyboard

hello:

first of all, i found the adesso mini keyboard at the micro Center, but
amazon offers them as well. Had seen it some years ago, when I was
looking for smaller keyboards that would fit in a laptop bag, but had
rejected it, because it did not have the calculator keypad on the
right, which most keyboards have, and which you would need in order to
use the jaw's say all key, turn the virtual cursor on and off, and use
the left and right mouse keys. But then I decided that it would be
just right for the braille Plus and bought it off the micro center web
site.

Before describing this keyboard to you, I think I should caution you to
make sure that you ask for the adesso USB computer mini keyboard when
you conduct searches for it, as adesso seems to produce a variety of
these keyboards, including musical keyboards.

now for the description: The keyboard is roughly 8 or 10 inches wide,
and about six inches long. It has one control key, and two windows
keys. It has two alt keys, and all 12 function keys. The left shift
key is above the last key on the left, which I don't know what it is,
as the control key is to the right of it. The left down and right
arrows are to the extreme right of the keyboard. to the left of the
left arrow is the delete key. the home key is located on the right of
the keyboard, second row. below that is the page up, pagedown, and end
keys.

Because the keyboard is a little smaller than a regular keyboard, the
function keys are not separated from the number keys, and what is more,
they do not look any different from the rest of the typing keys. So,
you must remember that the keys on the top row are function keys.

Hope this helps.

Marta
